Trump takes over Lincoln’s spot not only in the polls, but also on Mt. Rushmore.
After new polling showed that 53 percent of Republicans said Trump is a better president than Lincoln, Trump decided that he deserved a place among the historical elite presidents. The White House held a press conference to announce the inclusion of Trump to Mt. Rushmore. Stone Masons from all over the world were brought in to add Trump's head onto Mount Rushmore, alongside the other Presidents. When asked where he'll be placed among the great leaders, Trump replied "between Roosevelt and Lincoln".
However, when the work was finally revealed to the public, Lincoln's head was completely replaced by Trump's head. "It was an innocent mistake. The Stone Masons misinterpreted our instructions." When Meow York Times got a hold of one of the Stone Masons, he replied that Trump personally gave him the instruction of replacing Lincoln's head. "He kept talking about how great of a president he is and how he polled higher than Lincoln and how the economy was at all-time high. He couldn't shut up about it."
Trump in the past has often boasted that his popularity and approval ratings were historical highs, even surpassing that of Lincoln's. "You know, a poll just came out that I am the most popular person in the history of the Republican Party. Beating Lincoln. I beat our Honest Abe."
